The Waterpod!
I had the pleasure of speaking with some of the artists inhabiting the Waterpod. It's so wonderful to see educational exhibits in my neighborhood.

old photos
My Public Spaces professor Elliott Maltby had our class meet in Coney Island and walk to Brighton Beach via the boardwalk to discuss the changes that are underway-- mainly the acquisition of space by Thor Equities and the loss of old elements that connect the present to Coney Island as an entertainment district.

blimp
There's been a mysterious, unmarked blimp flying along Brighton Beach heading east and west (toward Coney Island and Manhattan Beach) for several days now. Still can't figure out what it is doing. There is hardly any activity on the beaches these days.
